Product details

This German Educational Chart is part of a biology series that was created by three German visionaries in the late 1800's, who all recognized a need for high quality, accurate teaching aids in the classroom. There was originally no text printed on the charts, enabling them to be studied throughout the World. Nowadays, they are universally considered as"objects d’art," and are displayed accordingly.

Teaching aid Publishing company Hagemann is printing the charts in Germany. They are available laminated onto canvas with wooden rods for hanging. They can be framed with or without the rods. Most of the work is done by hand, guaranteeing the outstanding quality of each chart.

Now you can bring this piece of history and fine art into your own home!

Framing is an option, flat profile or shadowbox.
Standard framed size: 40" x 55"

At the end of the 19th century, Heinrich Jung (Teacher), Dr. Gottfried Von Koch (Professor) and Dr. Friedrich Quentell (Director), collaborated in the creation of an extensive series of biological wall charts, each bringing their expertise and talent to the project. The dark background of each chart brings out the precise biological work in a beautiful way, and is ideal for teaching.

Each illustration depicts a typical representative of its species and its corresponding behaviors. This series of charts was published in 1891 and distributed in most countries of the civilized world. After World War II, all titles were retouched, in keeping with the changed scientific and artistic discoveries. This edition was originally printed between the late 60's and early 70's, as noted on each chart.
